Meanwhile, a variety of activities will also be launched, like the signing of Xiangxi Golden Tea marketing strategy cooperation agreement and the awarding ceremony of the Xiangxi Golden Tea promoter, in an effort to boost the sales of Xiangxi Golden Tea and inject new impetus into the development of the tea and tourism industries and the increase of farmers’ income in Jishou City.
In recent years, Jishou City has focused on developing Xiangxi Golden Tea into a competitive ecological industry. At present, Jishou has planted 155,000 mu (about 10,333.33 hectares) of tea, 102,000 mu (6,800 hectares) of which can be harvested, with an annual dry tea output of 1,680 tons and a comprehensive output value of more than 1.2 billion yuan.
